Glad you found your way to this blog once again! ?
I’ve been telling you what Eleine is all about, some background about my modeling career. But as the first post mentioned, Eleine is also a symphonic metal band.
Back in late 2011, the CEO of Cardiac Records made contact with me through a mutual friend. It turned out we both really wanted to do some metal! So the work started, and we felt from the very start that it should be symphonic metal but not the most traditional one that you’ve heard. Through my modeling, I got a picture of how and what the music should feel and be all about. I started working with one of the producers at the record label and we started to write some songs.
In 2012 Rikard Ekberg joined. Guitarist, growl, vocal and also an amazing song-writer. He added the last part to what Eleine truly was and sounded like.
So we focused on writing and finishing most of the tracks at the same time we started to search for band members.
After searching for a while we got in touch with David Eriksson, Sebastian Berglund and Andreas Mårtensson and it really did feel perfect from the very beginning. That was late 2013 and we had some writing left to do before the album was done.
In 2014 we released our first single along with a music video, “Gathering Storm”.
Strange feeling to finally release your music, for real! Another dream coming true.
And in April 2015 it was time for our debut album to be released, at last, after some delay. We celebrated with a release party where we played the entire album an the band Wasted Shells played before us! It was a great night. It was a long and exhausting day, but I was so happy and proud of everyone in the band.
We’ve received a lot of reviews and comments about our album that has been truly amazing. We never dared to dream about getting such awesome feedback thinking about how many symphonic metal band there is.
So, now during the winter we’re planning the shows for next year, we’re writing new material and we also got a new sponsor of the band, Shrine Of Hollywood. Who’ll also be providing the guys in the band with beautiful clothing on stage.
Our other sponsors are Heartbreak Tattoo (amazing tattoo-artists!) and Deadly Seams (provides me with special designed clothing on stage, simply amazing! Check her out!).
This is just the short story. It sounds amazing and it has been and is still amazing.
But, what to remember is that it hasn’t been easy. You never get anything served right in front of your nose, everything is earned. This is something Rikard always reminds us of. You have to fight hard to reach your goals, and never give up. It has been really hard a lot of times, you can’t imagine, but here we are today.
Still going strong, still having our goals and still having the inspiration/creativity that has to be there.
